MINOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED GIRL RAPED BY YOUTH AT MALDA

Webdesk, TNI Malda, 27th March, 2014: A physically challenged minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth of her village at Malda. The youth was however arrested and was taken into remand for 14 days in judicial custody. According to the police sources, the girl was lured in a sugarcane field by the youth for giving food, while she was returning back from her school. Youth then raped her in the field. The villagers saw the youth coming out of the sugarcane field. Some villagers’ discovered the girl in the field. The complaint was lodged by the father of the girl, who is a daily wage laborer. Mr. Dilip Karmakar, IC of Englishbazar police station informed the press that the accused is already taken into custody.
